Our social contribution programs go beyond merely offering help. Instead, they are centered
on the concept of corporate citizenship, helping us practice the true meaning of sharing as
an active member of society. Our sharing is all the more meaningful in that the advanced systems
of our programs and the voluntary and active participation of our people make
our social contribution efforts transparent and fair.

A world of giving and sharing is what we pursue with our efforts to make our world more inclusive and
circular. In 2007, we launched the Hanwha Social Volunteering Team, laying the foundation for a more
systemized and efficient operation of our social contribution programs. Some 70 Hanwha business
operations across the nation go to great lengths to put this virtue of sharing into action in a wide range
of fields from social welfare to culture, the arts, and volunteering.

Over the six decades since our inception, we have pursued
inclusive growth as our corporate culture in an effort to
redefine ourselves as a responsible company beyond simply
a praised one, especially based on our core values of trust and
loyalty. Deeply committed to giving back to society through
our continued and systemized volunteering activities, we focus
our resources and efforts on having a positive impact on the
                                            communities where we operate.

The world becomes a more beautiful and happier place
when we are together. We help our underprivileged
neighbors turn their hopes into reality through various
                                        welfare programs.

Culture and arts in every form fill the world with beauty.
With our continued and systemized culture and arts
programs, we build a more beautiful world.

The core tenet of our social contribution efforts is
'voluntary participation by our people.' Our volunteering
activities are funded, participated in, and run by
our people who dedicate their time, talent, and
effort to the disadvantaged in our society.

The Hanwha Social Contribution Operation Committee is established and run at each of Hanwha business
operations across the nation. As a body composed of employee volunteers representing each job function
and position level, each committee has authority to deliberate and make decisions regarding the Bright World
Fund in order to ensure the transparent execution and efficient operation of the Fund.

To encourage our employees to actively participate in our philanthropic efforts and contribute to society,
each committee meets at least once every quarter. In each meeting, it reviews the social contribution
activitiesof the previous quarter and deliberates on the plan of volunteer programs for the next quarter,
ensuring that our social contribution activities are not overly focused on certain target groups and are
                                carried out appropriately.
In addition, we have built a strong network among these committees to help them complement
their strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to share knowledge and better-tune their social contribution
efforts to meet the specific needs of their respective communities effectively and proactively.

Identify, manage, and supervise social contribution
                                        activities carried out by each business operation;
plan and execute social contribution activities
in Seoul; and provide an overall direction
for Hanwha Group's social contribution efforts

Plan and execute social contribution activities
at each business operation and provide
an overall direction for Hanwha Group's social
                                        contribution efforts

Social contribution work refers to the activities
of providing services, products, and financial
assistance to local communities, the government,
and non-governmental organizations with the aim
                                        of promoting our public image.

① Voluntary work ② Public campaign programs
③ Certain facilities at business operations open
to local communities ④ Services and financial
                                        assistance ⑤ Support programs

Each business operation raises funds from its employees for social contribution activities through
their contributions deducted from monthly paychecks, charity bazaars, etc. Employees can remit
their contributions by opening one or more contribution accounts from their payroll account.
Each contribution account is worth KRW 500 per month and is kept open until the termination
of employment unless there is a special reason for closing it. Under our matching grant program,
we donate the equivalent of 150% of the above-mentioned monthly contributions made
                                        by our employees.

We have a paid volunteer service system in place, allowing our employees to visit underprivileged
neighbors and conduct volunteer activities at any time. This advanced system shows how deep
our commitment to social contribution is.

We honor, and reward, outstanding volunteer works and programs after evaluating the social
contribution performance of our business operations. Aimed at encouraging philanthropic
efforts from within and fostering our social contribution capability, we particularly celebrate
and reward specialized volunteer programs, customized volunteer programs, joint volunteer
programs, excellent volunteers, and volunteer program managers.

"Hanwha Science Class for the Future" is a program designed to help children dream big by providing
them with classes on basic science, lab activities, science-related field trips, and other hands-on experiences.
In this after school program, our people offer science classes to local children. In addition to this, they hold
science camps, presentation contests, mobile science classes, and other special events to give local children
the opportunity to share in learning with others and develop a natural interest in science. Children who
participate in this program show increased enthusiasm in their school science classes and dream of
becoming the scientists who will lead the future of the nation. In 2015, this program is offered in eight
cities by our people working at the business operations run by Hanwha Corporation's Explosives Division,
                                Defense Division, and Machinery Division.

Through our "Build Healthy Villages" program, we have provided assistance to elderly people living alone
and handicapped people in Boeun, Chungbuk Province, since 2014. With the aim of helping disadvantaged
groups in every aspect of their life, this program supports their physical and mental wellbeing out of
our wish to make residents of rural communities healthier. Our Explosives business in Boeun offers health
checkups, meal support, prescription assistance, and friendly visiting services in its efforts to improve
the health and welfare of rural communities, which often lack social infrastructure services.

Launched in 2014 as a community-based educational program in partnership with the Yeosu Office of
Education Support and Yeosu YMCA, our "History and Security Field Trips” program offers a variety of history
and security field trips to children and youth in rural areas who are often left neglected on Saturdays when
they have no school. The field trips are planned around a given theme of the month and help young people,
who will lead the further development of the nation, build their creativity, learn our history, and develop
                                security awareness. .

Launched in 2012, our "Dream I Band" program is run by our Daejeon offices in partnership with the Child
Foundation. Through this program, we provide musically gifted low-income children with musical
instruments and support their band activities. Our volunteers meet with ten "Dream I Band" members,
who have been selected through an audition process, on a regular basis, engaging in band practice
with them and providing emotional support for them as mentors.

Our “Hanwha and Peacemakers” program offers a range of activities centered on peace, including
"Peace Education," "One Hanwha Entity Cares for One Veteran's Gravesite,""Support for Outstanding Soldiers,"
and "Excavation of the Remains of Killed Soldiers."This program also provides activities to discourage bullying
at school. More specifically, it offers those identified as bullies cultural events and horseback riding lessons
to instill them with a sense of peace. The "Support for Outstanding Soldiers" and "Excavation of the Remains
of Killed Soldiers" programs allow us to develop a high sense of nationalism and patriotism. "Excavation of
the Remains of Killed Soldiers" gives us an opportunity to commemorate those who have fallen in battle,
while "Support for Outstanding Soldiers" provides assistance to soldiers from low-income families, helping
to boost the morale of our military.

At our "Eco-Friendly Horticulture Center," we offer vegetable gardening activities, field trips to renowned
botanical gardens, and exhibitions under the title "The Miracles of Vegetable Gardens." Designed for those
with developmental disabilities who have difficulty fitting into school life and experience psychological and
emotional distress, this program helps them deal with and recover from such distress, improve their
self-esteem, and develop their social skills.
