Building on our expertise in inorganic chemicals, we are evolving into a company specialized in
technology-intensive specialty chemicals and IT materials using specialty gas. As a global trader,
we will continue expanding our business areas leveraging our competence accumulated for over 60 years.
Since our success in locally manufacturing the nation’s first dynamite, we have manufactured and supplied quality explosives,
which played a critical role in the nation’s post-war economic recovery and social infrastructure construction.
Our firework promotion has dedicated to developing creative programs as well as safe and effective blasting technology
to bring unforgettable memory to our customers since the launch of 1964. We are introducing advanced firework technologies
to the world through many events including 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul and 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.
Based on our accumulated technological expertise and knowhow,
we provide explosives with high blasting efficiency, safety, water
and freeze resistance realizing economical blasting at any site.
Our various products featuring precise millisecond delay timing,
excellent safety and easy handling offer tailored solutions for any blasting site.
MegaMITE is a gelatin dynamite with nitroglycerine as its explosive base. It features high energy, velocity, and excellent water and freeze resistance. It can be widely applicable from soft rocks to extremely hard rock. In particular, it is specialized in blasting hard rocks that don’t work with emulsion explosives.
MegaMEX, is an upgraded emulsion explosive that overcame limitations of existing emulsion explosives leveraging our long accumulated expertise in safety assessment and explosive development system.
NewMITE Plus has solid state using our proprietary emulsifier and emulsifying technology for easy use and storage and has high water and freeze resistance(-20℃). NewMITE Plus comes with paper or film package according to customer application. The paper-packaged one is especially easy to load horizontally as it has same consistency as dynamite.
NewVEX is a paper-packaged explosive designed for mine use. It contains water, cooling agent and extinguishing agent to reduce the volume and temperature of flame, which prevents possible ignition of methane gas and or coal powder in mines. Enhanced glass microballoons, a physical sensitizer improves shock resistance. Especially, the 28mm type product, permissible explosive for mine use was recognized for its safety.
NewFINEX is a explosive for controlled blasting with low detonation velocity, low energy and cap sensitivity. New FINEX improves blasting efficiency, safety and economy by minimizing fracture and overbreak in rocks and giving well-finished surface. In particular, the tube and wing are designed to be key & lock type to prevent separation of parts during charging.
LoVEX is a emulsion explosive applicable to tunnels and open pits for controlling vibration. Compared with its predecessor, LoVEX has an upgraded features in size, package and other specifications for optimum blasting results in such environments that are mechanically excavated or that require minimal vibration. LoVEX offers far more excellent vibration benefits than other excavating methods such as plasma or mechanical excavation. In particular, this product allows a safe blast with minimized potential damage caused by blast vibration and noises in places near urban centers or buildings with invaluable items to be protected.
HiMEX is used alone after sensitization using Bulk Mixing Truck on site or used with ammonium nitrate or ANFO. Low viscosity of the product developed by Hanwha’s unique emulsifier and emulsifying technology enables charging with pump. It features high water and freeze resistance(-20 ℃) that matches other emulsion explosives. With loading equipment for bulk explosives, it is possible to blast economically in such large scale sites as quarry mines or limestone mines.
Hanwha’s bulk ANFO can be loaded into blastholes immediately from ANFO mixing trucks, which allows shorter loading time and economical blasting in large-scale mines.
ANFO Plus is a mixture of porous prilled ammonium nitrate and fuel oil. Due to its characteristics of low detonation velocity, excellent safety and relatively low price, this product is great to apply on soft rock sites. It is widely used in a large scale quarries such as limestone quarries.
HiTRONIC ll is a high-precision electronic detonator boasting safety, reliability and time accuracy. As optimal delay time can be set on site, HiTRONIC ll enables excellent blasting performance at any site. HiTRONIC ll should be used with Blaster, Planner and Logger units specific to HiTRONIC.
HATS is our cutting-edge digital smart blasting solution consisting of 9 modules. HATS provides innovative one-stop service that manages from drilling to blasting. It helps better control blasting sites with its digitalized process management and automated statistics/analysis. HATS monitors work flow in real time, enhancing safety of equipment and workers. HATS’ precise GPS and digital sensing enables customers to boost productivity and save costs.
HiNEL Plus is a non-electric detonator that uses a low-energy, low-explosion (2,000m/s) shock tube to transport initiating signal. Delay time system and precision are similar to that of the Hydeto Plus, with low vibration and excellent crushing. In particular, when using TLD(Trunkline Delay Detonator) and DHD(Downhole Delay Detonator), there is no limit in the number of delay blasting holes. The blasting system that can be configured with HiNEL Plus includes MS/LP and detonating cord, MS/LP and Branch Connector, TLD and DHD, which can be used selectively depending on the site conditions.
HiDETO Plus is an electric detonator. It is widely used both in the open pit and underground mines using either MS(Milli-Second) products of 20ms delay differentials or LP(Long Period) products of 100~500ms delay time differentials. The very accurate and various delay time systems minimize the blasting vibration and make a fine blast fragmentation. Color codes of leg wires and metal tubes enable easy identification.
HiCORD is a detonating cord used for detonating initiation systems and cap sensitive explosives or quarrying high quality stones for construction and landscape gardening purposes. HiCORD can be used in such places where the legwire of electric detonators could be cut by shock waves or where it is difficult to use electric detonators because of static electricity, leakage current, high voltage cable, and radio frequency.

Since we commenced the fireworks business in 1964, we have strived to develop new fireworks programs and innovate
our technology to bring touching and impressive moments to our customers.
As part of such efforts, we introduced a new fireworks genre, "multimedia fireworks,"
which combines the conventional fireworks show and multimedia elements (including lighting, lasers, and images),
for the first time in the nation. Also, we are creating a new concept of performance that integrates fireworks and storytelling.
In addition, we are actively participating in international events to showcase our outstanding fireworks technology on the global stage.
